Tools and materials required:
Metric ruler
Masking tape
Blue loctite
2.0mm allen key
paddle Alignment gauges
10mm wrench
7mm wrench
Step 1: Measure 22mm from the end of the flybar, marking it with a small piece of masking tape. After you have that done slide the paddle onto the flybar to the tape. After the paddle is installed on the flybar remove the 10mm crimp Colette nut. Add a small amount of blue loctite to the threads then reinstall the nut. Use a 10mm wrench on the Colette nut and a 7mm wrench on the paddle base, you will want to only snug the crimp Colette to hold the paddle in place. You will tighten up the Colette in a later step.

Step 2:
For this step you will need a set of paddle alignment gauges. Before aligning
the paddles turn on your radio and helicopter making sure you are at center
stick and all trims and mixes are zeroed and everything is 90o to each other.
Now add a paddle alignment gauge to each paddle. Make sure the 3mm grub screws
are loose and not binding on the flybar or it will make it difficult to align
the paddle. Pick one paddle to be the master paddle (the second paddle will be
aligned to the master paddle later). Using the paddle gauge to align the master
paddle align the top straight edge of the gauge with either the flybar control
arm or the bottom of the blade grips. Once you are satisfied that the paddle is
zeroed you can move onto step 3.
Step 3: Now that you have the master paddle
aligned, you can tighten the 3mm set screws. Remove 1 set screw and add a small
amount of loctite to the threads. Reinstall the set screw snugging it into place
being careful not to wrench down on it or the paddle will move. Repeat this for
the second set screw. You will want to only tighten the set screws a little at a
time. Every time you tighten down one of the set screws a bit recheck the paddle
for alignment. Once both set screws have been tightened down fully and the
paddles is still aligned you can move on to the other paddle. Align the second
paddle with the paddle gauge to the master paddle gauge. It may take a few tries
to get it right. Once you have it aligned repeat the set screw steps till you
have them tightened down.
Step 4: Now you have both paddles aligned
and tightened down recheck them for alignment. Once you are satisfied use a 10mm
wrench on the crimp Colette nut and a 7mm wrench on paddle base and tighten the
Colette down. You are now ready to go fly, have fun and fly safe!!
